An import alternative needs a matching financing route.

Brazil requires separate review of technology alternative, import requirement and financing eligibility. The published Finame standard concerns new, domestically manufactured goods accredited with BNDES. An imported alternative must therefore not be moved into the same financing assumption on the price gap alone.

Two paths, one comparison

Guiding question: Does the alternative remain viable when financing and import conditions must also fit?

Local context

NCM and the specific import operation determine the applicable import requirements. The conditions of the chosen financing type must be confirmed separately; this does not imply a blanket exclusion of all import financing.
